Aldershot's predominantly post-war housing
Aldershot is dominated by post-war and 1960s estate housing through North Town, North Camp and the older garrison-adjacent areas. Concrete interlocking tile (Marley Modern, Redland 49) is the standard covering. Smaller pockets of late-Victorian terrace stock around the older town centre add Welsh slate to the mix.
Aldershot's MOD-related housing also includes a substantial inventory of standardised semis and terraces built between 1945 and 1965, with broadly identical roof construction across whole estates.
