Farnborough's diverse housing stock
Farnborough's housing splits between post-war estate housing through Cove and West Heath, 1980s–2000s estate detached and semi stock through Hawley, and a smaller pocket of older Edwardian and inter-war housing toward Farnborough Park. The dominant covering is concrete interlocking tile, with growing solar PV adoption on the newer Hawley estates.
Farnborough's airport-driven employment growth has also fuelled a wave of extensions and loft conversions, particularly through Cove and the Prospect area, adding to a steady volume of flat-roof and dormer work.
