Marlow's affluent riverside roofscape
Marlow is one of the most affluent towns in our service area and its roofscape reflects that. The conservation core around West Street, High Street and St Peter Street has Georgian and Victorian buildings with handmade clay plain tile or natural slate. The surrounding roads to Marlow Bottom and along the river add substantial Edwardian and inter-war detached stock with elaborate roof geometry. Newer estate housing through Marlow Bottom and the Bovingdon Green fringes uses concrete tile.
Many Marlow properties sit on private drives behind gates, with similar access considerations to Ascot.
