Tilehurst is one of Reading's largest suburban areas, dominated by inter-war semis and bungalows through Upper Tilehurst, Kentwood and Norcot. Storm response: half the ridge of a Norcot semi lifted in a January gale, tarpaulined within two hours and re-bed completed the following week. £1,100.

Tilehurst sits on higher ground above Reading with slightly elevated wind exposure compared to the town centre. Storm damage is marginally more frequent.
